Our fold-lock bag can also be used to store your knitwear but it is not as effective as a zip-lock or cedar scented sweater bag. A care label is attached to a side seam of sweaters, vest and cardigans. A care label is also attached to scarves.
- Orders to Continental U.S destinations are mailed via USPS Priority Mail.
- Shipping charges are based upon the weight & destination zip code.
- Delivery Confirmation is included in order to track the package during transit and verify it’s delivery.
We mail packages 6 days a week, including after our business hours. Orders dropped off after hours or during the weekend are mailed out by the Post Office on the following business day.

Shipping Information For Continental United States

The confirmation email automatically generated by the U.S. Postal Service may read somewhat differently depending on whether we initiate the label printing process directly through the their website or through PayPal.
In either case, it takes about 12-24 hours for any details to show up in the Post Office tracking “system”. Using the Delivery Confirmation number supplied in the email, you can then track and confirm the status of your package: Shipping Track And Confirm
Transit time via US Priority Mail is currently 3 full business days but can take somewhat longer depending on your location and whether the package was mailed out early in the day, after the last pickup or after hours.

It is the customer’s resposibility to advise us if the given address will become invalid prior to delivery.

Canadian orders are mailed First Class Package International service – an economical International shipping method.
Please allow approximately 4-10 business days, plus a “customs hold”, for delivery of most Canadian orders.

International Orders To Europe, Asia, the Far East, Australia & New Zealand
International orders worldwide are mailed via First Class Package International service. We cannot guarantee transit time to any destination.
Please allow up to 1 week for delivery to most destinations in western Europe.
Please allow up to 2 weeks or more for delivery of most orders to Asia/Australia. We’ve had some packages reach their Australian destinations in as little as 6 business days!
Transit time to Australia is approximately 4-7 business days. As an example, a medium sized scarf and medium sweater cost about $31.00 to ship to Australia due to the combined weight.
Transit time to Singapore takes 4-7 business days. A small sweater costs about $25.00 to ship to this destination.
Shipping to South American destinations has been very erratic with some items taking about 2 to 3 weeks while others shipped on the same day took months. Packages shipped to international destinations cannot be tracked once they leave the United States.

- United Kingdom and Ireland are around $30.00 to $34.50
- Australia is approximately $34.00 depending on the weight.
- Malaysia is around $34.00 depending on the weight.
Customs Clearance for International Orders
At Hobbie’s, we welcome international orders. In fact, our customers are found in Europe, Asia, Australia and even New Zealand!
Our shipping costs are based on the total package weight and verified at the Post Office. We can provide approximate quotes for mailing options upon request but our practice is to select the most secure and least expensive method.
Please send us an email using the “Contact Us” form, listing the item[s] you would like to purchase and the shipping destination. We will reply with an approximate quote for shipping costs.

The customer is responsible for any additional charges for customs clearance.[/yellowbox]Hobbie’s House of Wizard Wear does not have any control over these charges, nor can we estimate what the total charges may be or how long the package will remain in Customs before being released. From recent experience, this “customs hold” period can vary from days to a couple weeks. Customs clearance policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for more information.
You are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the merchandise.
US Postal Service customs forms for all international packages list the contents and value of your order by merchandise type. As an example, Hobbie’s describes our merchandise as follows: Scarf [acrylic or wool]; sweater [acrylic or wool] and assigns a “value” to said merchadise. Any additional custom clearance charges you incur are based upon this assigned merchandise value.
For reference purposes, a large scarf weighs approximately 1.5 lbs., a Men’s X-Large school sweater also weighs nearly 2 lbs and a Large Sports Team Sweater weighs over 2.5 lbs.
